A virtual choir sings “Christ the Lord Is Risen Today”

NASHVILLE, April 10, 2020 — Here’s the online stream from a virtual worldwide United Methodist Easter choir… they performed “Christ the Lord Is Risen Today” by Charles Wesley (1707-1788), Friday (today), April 10 (9 a.m. CDT).

Produced by UMC Discipleship Ministries and United Methodist Communications, the video of the choir will be available for viewing or download on Friday, April 10, at www.umcdiscipleship.org and www.resourceumc.org.
Wesley was an English leader of the Methodist movement, most widely known for writing about 6,500 hymns. Wesley was born in Epworth, Lincolnshire, the son of Anglican cleric and poet Samuel Wesley and his wife Susanna.
