Family Focus needs help for moms during COVID-19
Note from Christina Campos of Family Focus – Aurora to the Kiwanis Club of Aurora and the Aurora community.
I’m reaching out to you for your support and donations for our Family Focus participants especially in our Early Childhood Dept. As they are in need of diapers and baby formula.
COVID-19 has impacted our country and throughout the world. Our Early Childhood Dept. provides many services to our Aurora Community.
The three Early Childhood Programs we provide are the following.
1. Teen Moms as they like to be called ( Mom Squd) -13
2. Parents As Teachers-120
3. Healthy Families/Doulas-60
Total 193 families in our Early Childhood Dept. we served monthly.
We provide numerous workshops and programs for our family monthly. For example:
* Prenatal & Parenting Support
* Fitness & Nutrition
* Development Screening
* Promote Literacy ( they attend monthly storytime at the Aurora Santori Library)
* Kane County Health Dept. presented a workshop “ Lead in Home” * Depression & Anxiety Workshop All of our programs are free.
If Kiwanis members and community can assist us on a donation drive for baby formula and diapers on Thursday, April 15, 2020 from 9 a.m. to noon and Friday, April 16, 2020 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Drop off- Family Focus office, 550 Second Ave, Aurora, IL 60505.
NEEDS: Diapers from newborn to size 6. And pull up size ( 3-5 ) boys and girls Formula: Enfamil ( yellow) can and Neocate Infant DHA & ARA

John Ross on Saturday, April 23, 2016 launched XPian News, a part of Daybreak Communications, Inc. Ross is the facilitator of Aurora Christian Ministry Network (ACMN) and a member of the Fox Valley Christian Ministerial Alliance (FVCMA). He serves on the boards of Wayside Cross Ministries and the Kiwanis Club of Aurora. As a follower of Jesus, he has been for some 40 years a member of First Presbyterian Church - Aurora.
