Group 3RsRevisited pressures CCDA for action

CCDA President Noel Castellanos Resigns

Chicago, Nov. 6, 2018 – Today, it was announced that Noel Castellanos had resigned as president of the Christian Community Development Association (CCDA). Castellanos and the CCDA board had been under pressure from six former female employees about an abusive work environment. His resignation had been submitted on October 31 to the nonprofit’s board prior to the beginning of CCDA’s November 1-3 conference (titled “Rooted”) in Chicago.

The 30th anniversary convention has held this last weekend at McCormick Place. The conferences’s final plenary session on Friday featured the aerial distribution of unauthorized flyers by the group 3RsRevisited. The three Rs are a reference to CCDA’s justice mission of reconciliation, relocation, and redistribution.
