Boxing Club Needs Community Support
AURORA, Ill., May 6, 2021 – The public is invited to support the second annual Jesse “The Law” Memorial 5K benefiting the Jesse “The Law” Torres Boxing Club. The “United We Stride” event takes place over the Memorial Day Weekend (But can be ran up to two weeks in advance for those who cannot run the 29th).
Beyond a at home/virtual experience, participants (runner/walker) can attend the on-site event at Waubonsee Lake Park, 998 Kautz Rd, Aurora, on Saturday, May 29, 8 a.m.
The club will be awarding the top runners and top fundraisers with some fun prizes.
The goal for the Memorial Day 5K is $20, 000. The club’s board president, Uni Torres-Camacho states, “The club needs these funds to help it come back from the pandemic shutdown and to meet our future program and facility needs for Aurora’s youth. Community support is truly needed.”

The club has been housed at the Fox Valley Park District’s Copley Boxing & Fitness Center, 517 N. Union St., Aurora, since 2014.
All registrants will get a 5K Participation Medal and everyone who raises $100+ gets a FREE t-shirt!
