AURORA, Ill., April 21, 2021 — New City of Aurora data on COVID-19 shows that 44.57% of cases were of a Hispanic background.  This number follows pretty much their population demographics (42.9%) in the city. The number for Whites is 23.26%, some 14% below the their population (37.1%). And African-American (Black) cases were almost 50% above their population base (10.1%) at 14.73%. The remainder of cases were Asian at 2.33% and other.

The total number of Aurora cases as of April 20 is 302 and 7 deaths.

The ethnic composition of the population of Aurora, IL is composed of 86.3k Hispanic or Latino residents (42.9%), 74.6k White Alone residents (37.1%), 20.3k Black or African American Alone residents (10.1%), 16.2k Asian Alone residents (8.04%), 3.16k Two or More Races residents (1.57%)… Source: Data USA
