Free Aurora youth baseball camp Saturday
AURORA, Ill., April 29, 2021 — The 12th annual Aurora Islanders baseball camp for kids is Saturday, May 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park, 42 N. Farnsworth Ave. in Aurora. Youth ages 6 to 12 years old are invited. Admission is free.
Baseball experience is not required. Campers should wear comfortable clothes and shoes suitable for training.
The camp schedule is::
• 8:30-9 a.m.: Registration and distribution of donated equipment to those in need. Bottles of water will also be available for hydration.
• 9 a.m.-Noon: Baseball drills in fundamentals of batting, throwing, catching, fielding and baserunning
• Noon-1 p.m. Lunch of hotdogs, chips, cookies

Campers interested in playing in the free summer Aurora Neighborhood Baseball League sponsored by Wayside Cross Ministries can register at the camp. Equipment will be available for campers in need.
