Irvin and Guzman Move on to April 4 General Election

WOW! Only 11.5% Turnout for Aurora Mayoral Primary

Tuesday’s Aurora mayor primary drew only a 11.5% voter turnout. There were 11,024 recorded votes cast with a total city registration of 95,680. The Aurora Election Commission reported a 13.9% registered voter participation. While the DuPage Election Commission tallied only 6.7%.

The unofficial combined city results are as follows…
Richard C. Irvin 3,502 – 31.8%
Richard “Rick” Guzman 3,131 – 28.4%
Linda Chapa LaVia 2,821 – 25.6%
Michael B. Saville 1,566 – 14,2%

Irvin, alderman at-large, and Guzman, assistant chief of staff in the mayor’s office, move on to the April 4, general election.
