Helping World Relief and the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR)

Concert to Benefit Syrian Refugees on Sunday, Feb. 19

The on-going conflict in Syria has forced millions of people to flee their homes in search of safety. These displaced families are fighting for survival in neighboring countries and refugee camps. A minute percentage have gone through month long screening processes eventually allowing them to resettle here in America. Due to the recent executive order putting a pause on further resettlement of Syrian refugees, your support is needed now more than ever.

This concert is to raise funds for these Syrian refugees.

All proceeds above costs will go toward World Relief and the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR). Funds for UMCOR will go towards international relief efforts for those displaced, and funds for World Relief will go toward services for Syrian refugees already resettled in this area, including ESL education, counseling, and programs for children and youth.

The concert location is Gary United Methodist Church, 224  N, Main St., Wheaton, 5-7 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 19.

Noted area musicians will present works ranging from brilliant and well-loved classical instrumental and vocal works to exciting jazz moments.

$10 admission. Buy your ticket today! http://tinyurl.com/syria2-19-17

Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door.
