Part of the National Day of Prayer
Uniqueness of a Prayer Walk in Aurora
It was a beautiful day to take walk. Why not also pray as you walk or at different venues.
So prayer and walking are combined for the 2016 National Day of Prayer in Aurora. Visiting some 14 different sties throughout a 12-mile walk and nearly seven and three-
quarters hours of walking marched some dedicated prayer warriors.
The 2016 group was led by the Reverend Dan Haas and Pastor Randy Schoof. Haas and Schoof have done this special walk for several years as the group of participants has expanded.
The group was composed of individuals and pastors from various Christian denominations.
Aurora is one of America’s unique cities in having this walk. Many communities have an indoor event and some outdoors, but a walk component is very rare.
