Fox Valley Habitat to break ground for Aurora home on Feb. 19
MONTGOMERY, Ill., Feb. 11, 2020–Montgomery-based Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity will break ground for a home at 827 Grove St. in Aurora at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19.
The public is invited.
Rev. Jeff Barrett, Habitat CEO, will lead a ceremony including prayer, remarks by volunteers and the future homeowner and a ceremonial groundbreaking.
Lead sponsors of the project are Oxford Bank and Trust of Oak Brook and Euclid Insurance Services, Inc., Itasca.
Oxford Bank is a community bank with locations in Oak Brook, Naperville, Plainfield, Westmont and Addison.
Founded in 1902, Oxford was purchased by the Peter Colis family in1989. Since then, the bank has grown by emphasizing high quality customer service, specialized commercial lending expertise and new technologies to help customers maximize access to their accounts.
Founded in 1952 by Peter Colis, Euclid Insurance is a program administrator for specialty property casualty and professional liability products, a general agency and third-party administrator for employee benefit and life products.
Rev. Barrett said the Grove Street home—Fox Valley Habitat’s 66th since 1988—will be a two-bedroom, one-bath frame ranch with detached garage.
Volunteers and donors are needed to continue the Christian housing ministry.
