Aurora Methodists’ Nov. 2 craft show to offer handmade items

AURORA, Ill., Oct. 17, 2019—Handmade items by 28 vendors will be offered in “Trees and Treasures,” an eighth annual craft show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at Wesley United Methodist Church,14 N. May St. in Aurora.

The public is invited. Admission and parking are free. Sponsor is Wesley’s United Methodist Women.

Mari Curless, UMW president and show coordinator, said, “Come see a large variety of beautiful handcrafted items made by local artisans and crafters.”

Vendors will display items in the church parlor, Gathering place room and a hallway outside the church office. Gift items will include jewelry–metal, glass, gemstone–hand-painted glasses and ornaments, soap, key fobs, hair scrunchies, bath items, cups greeting cards and games.

Fabric pieces will include quilts, fabric items: table runners, aprons, baby blankets, burp cloths, pillowcases, scarves, doll clothes, dish cloths, dish towels and Raggedy Ann dolls.

Home-décor items will include paper flower bouquets, flower arrangements, natural pine cone art, collages, prints, colorful designs for nursery or other rooms, holiday decorations and candles.

Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Hot dog, sloppy joe and gluten-free chili meals will be offered for $5.50 each.
