Annual children's event draws thousands

Fun for the whole family!

Aurora’s premier children’s event is coming on May 7 (rescheduled from April 30), 1-5 p.m. at the Aurora Transportation Center parking lot (Spring Street and Lincoln Avenue). In recognition of the cultural importance of children and families, the Aurora Hispanic Heritage Advisory Board hosts this annual event known as El Día de los Niños, or Day of the Children. Since 2001, El Día de los Niños has been a very special holiday celebrated throughout Latin America where families, schools and communities come together to value and uplift the children in the community. This AHHAB event includes food vendors, a variety of fun-filled and educational activities (including booths from community resource businesses and vendors), entertainers (mascots) and main stage entertainment that is appropriate for all ages.
