Investigating seven basic life questions

“Explore God” comes to metro Chicago

AURORA, Ill., Jan. 15, 2019 – The “Explore God” outreach campaign has started in the metro Chicago area with yard signs, billboards, pastors’ sermons, and discussion groups.

“Explore God” Chicago 2019 is a community outreach initiative led by a committee of local pastors and business and ministry leaders.

The campaign’s website (https://www.exploregod.com/chicago) outlines its goal: “We all have questions about God, faith, and purpose; Explore God is a unique effort to come together to look at these questions in an open, authentic way. Join us as we explore The 7 Big Questions.”

“Starting in January 2019, ministries across denominational lines in the greater Chicago area will explore these big questions together through discussion groups and sermon series.”

The campaign’s questions…
1. Does life have a purpose?
2. Is there a God?
3. Why does God allow pain and suffering?
4. Is Christianity too narrow?
5. Is Jesus really God?
6. Is the Bible reliable?
7. Can I know God personally?

Several hundred churches are involved in this January/February outreach initiative. Some of the Aurora churches involved that are listed on campaign’s website include… Advent Christian Church, Central Bible Church, City of Lights Anglican Church, Community Christian Church, First Christian Church, First Presbyterian Church, Ginger Creek Community Church, Living Stone Christian, MorningStar Community Church, New Song Community Church, Resurrection Church of the Fox Valley, St. Paul Lutheran Church, and Warehouse Church
