'will stand in stark contrast to the distorted Christian nationalism...'

Christians Rally for Jesus and Justice in Lynchburg, Va.

Philadelphia, Pa., April 3, 2018 — Red Letter Christians from around the country have joined Christian
leaders in Lynchburg, Va., to host a local “Red Letter Revival” gathering on April 6 & 7,
2018. Referring to the words of Jesus highlighted in red in many Bibles, Red Letter Christians
are committed to the things Jesus was deeply concerned about, such as the poor and
marginalized in society. In word, worship, and witness, this “revival of Jesus and justice” will
stand in stark contrast to the distorted Christian nationalism that many white evangelical
leaders have become known for. It is a gathering for people of faith or no faith who are curious
about Jesus and troubled by the state of evangelicalism in America.

A preach-off will take place at E.C. Glass Civic Auditorium in Lynchburg, Va., on April 6 & 7
at 6PM each evening. On Saturday, April 7, workshops focused on criminal justice reform,
poverty, LGBTQ+ justice, immigration reform, and other topics will be held during the day at
nearby Heritage High School (3020 Wards Ferry Road). With advance registrations from more
than 25 states, this gathering is free and open to the public and press. More information —
including the full schedule and speaker list — can be found at RLREVIVAL.ORG.
